Decription
Officially adopted by the American army in 1932, America started the war as the only country with a semi-automatic weapon as a standard-issue weapon. Despite a shortage in M1 Garands, the weapon was issued to all frontline riflemen, proving to be an effective weapon by providing accurate fire with a high rate of fire, giving Americans the firepower advantage over German riflemen. Indeed, the M1 Garand is one of the best combat rifles ever designed, and remained in use in the Korean and Vietnam Wars in both its original and its M1C/M1D sharpshooter variants.
